CCP Dance School's Summer Dance Workshop 2010

Description:

A yearly tradition among young dance students, professionals, teachers and choreographers, the CCP Summer Dance Workshop offers classes in Baby Ballet, Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Improvisation and Dance Composition. Lectures on topics such as Pedagogy, Stagecraft and Dance History are also offered. Over 50 Metro Manila and Provincial scholarships are available through auditions beginning mid-March 2010. This five-week dance intensive culminates with performances at the CCP Main Theater (May 7 & 8, 2010).

Number of Sessions: Minimum of 12 (1½ hrs) or 15 (1hr) sessions, excluding rehearsals.

Instructors (about 20):
The members and alumni of Ballet Philippines such as Noordin Jumalon, Nonoy Froilan, Victor Ursabia, Gina Katigbak-Garcia

Age Limit of Participants: 4-years-old to professional levels

Fees (all-inclusive):
Classical Ballet (1hr) 3x/week P10,800 Baby Ballet (4-5 yrs. old); Pre-Beginners I (6-7 yrs.)
Classical Ballet (1½ hr) 3x/week P11,600
Modern Ballet (1½ hr) 3x/week P9,300
Hip Hop (1 ½ hr) 2x/week P8,500

*Children’s Full Course (9-12 yrs old) P12,000
*Adult’s Full Course (13 & above) P12,400

Fees are inclusive of Registration, Tuition, Costume (for classical ballet), Recital Fee, 2 Recital Tickets, and 1 Yearbook. (Fees do not include class uniform, approx. P1000 for a complete set, available at the Ballet Philippines Danceshop, CCP Basement).

Upon enrollment bring: cash/ check payment (payable to Ballet Philippines ), 1 piece 1x1 ID picture (2 pcs. for new students), medical certificate (for new students only), photocopy of birth certificate (for new Baby Ballet students only).

Scholarship Auditions:
20 March 1-2pm (CCPDS Scholars ages 9 to 13 only, and Male Scholarship Program for boys up to age 20 with dance background), 2-3pm (Intermediate and Advanced levels) 7 April 3pm (provincial applicants only)

All auditions will be held at the CCP Rehearsal Hall.
Applicants are required to submit 2 pcs. 1x1 ID picture, dance resume, registration form and audition fee of Php100 prior to the audition.
