The 6+1 Traits Of Writing: A Teachers Workshop For Pre-K To High School

Scholastic, in partnership with St. Paul College of Pasig, invites you to learn the 6+1 Trait Model -- the effective way of how to teach writing!

Resource Speakers:

Mr. Steve Taylor, Elementary School Principal of Faith Academy --- Steve attained a first class honours degree majoring in Sport, Health and Physical Education from the University of North Wales, completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Loughborough University, and has taught for six years in the English State Education system. Appointed as Elementary School Principal of Faith Academy in 2003, he is a recent graduate of the Principals Training Center for International School Leadership, and has spent his first years as principal leading a a major literacy change initiative within the school.

Mrs. Carol Foutz, Elementary Teacher, Librarian & Literacy Coach of Faith Academy --- Carol has a B.A., a B.Ed, and certifications in Library, Special Education, and E.L.L. She has received training as a literacy coach and reading specialist. Over the past five years, she has worked with the administration of Faith Academy to build a balanced literacy curriculum in the school's elementary division. Carol has led literacy workshops in several schools throughout the Philippines, as well as for Scholastic.
