Parent-Teacher Conferences can be worrying to teachers. They fret over their appearance to prevent wrong impressions about them. They search for the right words to say to avoid insulting the parents. They think of ways on how to communicate a negative feedback so that they are taken constructively.
PTCs, however, need not be so worrying. The Galileo Enrichment Learning Program invites all educators to attend a seminar entitled “Parent Communication Matters – Eliminating the Stress in Parent-Teacher Conferences.” It aims to encourage teachers to communicate with the parents in a variety of methods. It also provides teachers with the tools to conduct parent conferences that benefit the child through cooperative efforts of parents and teachers.
Our speaker, Ms. Maricar Gustilo-de Ocampo is a sought after consultant in Early Childhood Education. She co-authored the book, “Your Guide to Pre-schools in Metro Manila”. She is among the very first Filipina graduates of Bank Street College of Education in
